Call for Entries to Photo Show

The Show Committee has issued a Call for Entries to the second annual photography show, "How I See It," to run Sept. 1 through Halloween Oct. 31, 2012. All artists 18 and older may enter up to three photographs taken in 2008 or later. The outside dimensions must be no greater than 36 x 48 inches, and each piece must be wired for hanging. This year's photographs will be judged in the following categories:

• Landscape/seascape
• Portrait
• Macro (extreme close-up)
• Floral
• Critter

A $100 First Place and two Honorable Mentions will be awarded in each category. The entry fee is $10 per entry, and the deadline for delivery of the entry forms and fees to the SOAL Gallery, 109 N.River St., Seguin, is Aug. 20, 2012. Then deliver your artwork to the Gallery between 10 AM and 6 PM on either Aug. 31 or Sept. 1. The awards will be presented at a public reception Friday, Sept. 7, from 5 to 7 PM.
